Drop your kids off for a preschool structured playgroup! We will follow a daily schedule that will include open play, story time, arts and crafts, snack and indoor activities to get all their energy out! This group is designed to introduce kids to the structure of a typical school day. Children will explore fine and gross motor skills, simple songs and social interactions with children their age.Children do not have to be potty trained to attend Playgroup, however, in the event a diaper needs to be changed - parents will need to come to the program and change them. Staff cannot change diapers.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    FLOOR HOCKEY - F.A.S.T. Athletics - Floor Hockey (Grades k-2) Winter-Session 1
Come join F.A.S.T. Athletics for some street hockey fun. Fundamentals of hockey will be taught through training stations the first portion of the course. One-timers, passing, shooting and dribbling will be some of the training focus in the beginning. After the instructional period is over, each day will end with a good old fashion street hockey game. At the beginning of class; we will remind the students of safety and good sportsmanship.Please bring water and a mouthguard.Floor Hockey will be played in the upstairs gym at Blackburn Hall. Enter through the side door of Blackburn Hall at the sign that says "Recreation Department."
 
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM    RAPE AGGRESSION DEFENSE SYSTEM (RAD) WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE - RAD - Winter (Session 1)
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. R.A.D. is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with a awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
 
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM    CARDIO KICKBOXING - Cardio Kickboxing (Wednesday) - Winter (Session 1)
This is a high-energy, sure-to-burn calories type of class. You work your core doing exercises like planks, crunches, squats and push-ups, and get your heart rate up and pumping with some invigorating punch and kick combinations. All the exercises are designed for overall fitness and all fitness levels are encouraged.All courses are held at Impact Martial Arts Studio, located at 419 High Plain Street in Walpole.
 
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM    INTRO KRAV MAGA - Intro to Krav Maga (Wednesdays) - Winter (Session 1)
Our Self Defense program, rooted in the Israeli system of Krav Maga, is reality-based scenario training that utilizes practical, aggressive technique and combatives designed to build strength, endurance, and improve conditioning. The objective is to learn how to defend yourself and your loved ones against an aggressor.All courses are held at Impact Martial Arts Studio, located at 419 High Plain Street in Walpole.

5:30 AM - 6:30 AM    TOTAL BODY BOOT CAMP - Total Body Boot Camp - Winter (Session 1)
Our Total Body Boot Camp class combines intervals of cardio drills, boxing, and muscle conditioning exercises to provide you with the ultimate, fat burning, workout. Join us and jump start your metabolism! Boot camp will be held indoors at Blackburn Hall in case of inclement weather.Please bring a set of light dumbbells (3 - 12 lbs), a mat and a bottle of water.

Come join F.A.S.T. Athletics for some street hockey fun. Fundamentals of hockey will be taught through training stations the first portion of the course. One-timers, passing, shooting and dribbling will be some of the training focus in the beginning. After the instructional period is over, each day will end with a good old fashion street hockey game. At the beginning of class; we will remind the students of safety and good sportsmanship.Please bring water and a mouthguard.Floor Hockey will be played in the upstairs gym at Blackburn Hall. Come join in on the fun of learning how to take part in a musical theatre performance. Children will learn the basics of putting together a production. In this class, boys and girls will audition for a role in the musical "Addison’s Medley Excerpts." This play is sweet and cute, unlike what most people think zombies are. The play has been rewritten along the theme of the original 2018 children’s TV movie "Zombies.” Children will sing, dance, and act their way into a world of excitement. Costumes are encouraged, but not necessary. No experience needed. Everyone receives a speaking part of some kind!

Come join F.A.S.T. Athletics for some street hockey fun. Fundamentals of hockey will be taught through training stations the first portion of the course. One-timers, passing, shooting and dribbling will be some of the training focus in the beginning. After the instructional period is over, each day will end with a good old fashion street hockey game. At the beginning of class; we will remind the students of safety and good sportsmanship.Please bring water and a mouthguard.Floor Hockey will be played in the upstairs gym at Blackburn Hall. Enter through the side door of Blackburn Hall at the sign that says "Recreation Department."

Come join in on the fun of learning how to take part in a musical theatre performance. Children will learn the basics of putting together a production. In this class, boys and girls will audition for a role in the musical "Addison’s Medley Excerpts." This play is sweet and cute, unlike what most people think zombies are. The play has been rewritten along the theme of the original 2018 children’s TV movie "Zombies.” Children will sing, dance, and act their way into a world of excitement. Costumes are encouraged, but not necessary. No experience needed. Everyone receives a speaking part of some kind!

At the end of our class, the children will have nutritious and delicious food to share with their families.In the Sous Chef Program, we are excited to encourage our sous chefs to learn about culinary tools, correct cooking techniques, and kitchen safety. The children will be encouraged to use their own creativity to modify recipes to their taste preferences. Throughout the class, we will take short breaks to clean up and have mini dance parties to have some fun during the cooking process. At the end of the class, the children will have delicious and nutritious food to share with their families.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    FLOOR HOCKEY - F.A.S.T. Athletics - Floor Hockey (Grades k-2) Winter-Session 1
Come join F.A.S.T. Athletics for some street hockey fun. Fundamentals of hockey will be taught through training stations the first portion of the course. One-timers, passing, shooting and dribbling will be some of the training focus in the beginning. After the instructional period is over, each day will end with a good old fashion street hockey game. At the beginning of class; we will remind the students of safety and good sportsmanship.Please bring water and a mouthguard.Floor Hockey will be played in the upstairs gym at Blackburn Hall. Enter through the side door of Blackburn Hall at the sign that says "Recreation Department."

Come join F.A.S.T. Athletics for some street hockey fun. Fundamentals of hockey will be taught through training stations the first portion of the course. One-timers, passing, shooting and dribbling will be some of the training focus in the beginning. After the instructional period is over, each day will end with a good old fashion street hockey game. At the beginning of class; we will remind the students of safety and good sportsmanship.Please bring water and a mouthguard.Floor Hockey will be played in the upstairs gym at Blackburn Hall. Enter through the side door of Blackburn Hall at the sign that says "Recreation Department."

Come join in on the fun of learning how to take part in a musical theatre performance. Children will learn the basics of putting together a production. In this class, boys and girls will audition for a role in the musical "Addison’s Medley Excerpts." This play is sweet and cute, unlike what most people think zombies are. The play has been rewritten along the theme of the original 2018 children’s TV movie "Zombies.” Children will sing, dance, and act their way into a world of excitement. Costumes are encouraged, but not necessary. No experience needed. Everyone receives a speaking part of some kind!

Drop your kids off for a preschool structured playgroup! We will follow a daily schedule that will include open play, story time, arts and crafts, snack and indoor activities to get all their energy out! This group is designed to introduce kids to the structure of a typical school day. Children will explore fine and gross motor skills, simple songs and social interactions with children their age.Children do not have to be potty trained to attend Playgroup, however, in the event a diaper needs to be changed - parents will need to come to the program and change them. Staff cannot change diapers.
 
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM    HALF-DAY CAFE - Half Day Cafe (February)
Half Day Cafés are back and revamped! Same great time but all new fun! We are also now inviting 3rd graders! Each Half day we will have a series of events. Each event will be scored by the school you attend. At the end of the events, the school/team with the most points will win a prize!! We will also keep track all year and the team that wins the most will get the super prize! Participation is not mandatory but as with everything we do strongly encouraged. The events will be different every time, and you will never know what's happening on a particular Friday. Some examples are basketball, crossword puzzles, dodge ball, toothpick and marshmallow sculptures, indoor snowball fights, brain teasers and so much more! You must be a student in one of the four Walpole Public Elementary Schools to attend this program.
 
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM    HOME ALONE SAFETY - Home Alone Safety - Winter (Session 2)
Children learn telephone and door-answering techniques, Internet safety, accident and fire protection, and first aid techniques. We also talk about how children should manage their time when home alone for short periods of time. The class includes a variety of teaching methods and includes a video and role-playing.

B.L.A.S.T babysitting course is an American Academy of Pediatrics course that covers how to handle the basics of infant and childcare, how to react responsibly to medical emergencies and injuries, perform first aid for common childhood injuries and illnesses, and set up and run your own babysitting business.
